United Way Union County Virtual Duck Race Sweepstakes
Official Rules
No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase or donation will not increase your chances of winning. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
1. Sponsor
The United Way Union County Virtual Duck Race Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is sponsored and administered by:

2. Promotion Period
The Sweepstakes begins when the official entry page is published and ends on October 4, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (ET).
Entries received after the Promotion Period will not be eligible.
3. Eligibility
The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of Ohio who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.
The Sweepstakes is void outside Ohio and where prohibited or restricted by law.
Officers, directors, employees, volunteers, immediate family members, and household members of United Way of Union County, EZVirtualRace.com, prize sponsors, and individuals involved in the administration, operation, or fulfillment of the Sweepstakes may be ineligible to win.
4. How to Enter
Participants may enter the Sweepstakes by visiting:

Participants may sponsor virtual duck entries through donations using the following levels:
- $5 donation = 1 duck entry
- $20 donation = 6 duck entries
- $60 donation = 20 duck entries
Donation levels remain fixed during the Sweepstakes.
Participants may sponsor multiple ducks.
Each duck entry represents one entry and one chance to win in the drawing.
Donations support the charitable work and community impact of United Way of Union County.
All duck sponsorship donations are final and non-refundable.
Participants must provide a valid email address to be eligible to claim prizes.
Entries must be submitted through the official Sweepstakes entry pages.
Entries that are incomplete, illegible, fraudulent, duplicated improperly, or contain false information may be disqualified.
Participants are responsible for providing accurate contact information.
Entries generated through automated systems, bots, scripts, or other automated means are not permitted and may be disqualified.
5. Free Alternative Method of Entry — No Purchase Necessary
No purchase, donation, or payment is required to enter or win. A purchase or donation will not increase your chances of winning.
To enter without making a purchase, participants may mail a postcard to:

Limit of one (1) free entry per person, per household. Include your full name, address, phone number, and email address.
All free entries must be received before October 1, 2026 to be eligible.
Each free entry will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes and will have equal odds of winning as any paid duck entry.
All entries, whether obtained through a donation or free entry, will be included in the same random drawing.
6. Duck Entries
A duck entry represents one entry into the Sweepstakes drawing associated with a virtual duck in the race simulation.
Duck entries are virtual entries used for the race simulation and are not physical rubber ducks.
Participants do not select duck numbers. Duck numbers are assigned through the official entry system.
Participants may win multiple prizes if different duck entries are selected as winners.
7. Winner Selection / Drawing
Winners will be selected by electronic random drawing from all eligible duck entries received before the entry deadline.
The drawing will be conducted after entries close on October 4, 2026.
The electronic drawing may be recorded for transparency.
Three (3) winning ducks will be selected:
- 1st Place Winner
- 2nd Place Winner
- 3rd Place Winner
All drawings are conducted by or on behalf of United Way of Union County, and all decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
No ties are possible because winners are determined by random drawing.
8. Race Video
The race video simulates the race of selected virtual ducks.
The race animation is for entertainment purposes only and does not determine the winners.
Official results are determined solely by the electronic random drawing.
The final race video and winners are scheduled for release on:
October 9, 2026 at approximately 6:35 PM ET

Participants do not need to be present to win.
9. Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded:
- 1st Place — $500
- 2nd Place — $250
- 3rd Place — $100
The total approximate retail value of all prizes awarded in the Sweepstakes is $850.
Prizes will be fulfilled by United Way of Union County or its designated representative.
Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.
10. Winner Notification
Potential winners will be notified using the contact information provided during entry.
Winners may be contacted by email and/or phone.
Winners must respond within seven (7) days of notification.
If a winner does not respond within the required time period, is found to be ineligible, or cannot be contacted, an alternate winner may be selected from the remaining eligible entries.
Winners may also be publicly announced on the Sweepstakes website, in the race video, and in promotional materials.
11. Taxes
Winners are responsible for any taxes or reporting obligations associated with receiving a prize.
The Sponsor may issue IRS Form 1099 if required by law.
Donations may be tax-deductible as allowed by law.
12. Liability Release
By participating in the Sweepstakes, participants release and hold harmless:
- United Way of Union County
- EZVirtualRace.com
- Giving Technology, LLC
- Any individuals or organizations involved in the administration, promotion, or fulfillment of the Sweepstakes
from any liability arising from participation in the Sweepstakes, acceptance or use of any prize, technical failures, or any other issue related to the Sweepstakes.
Prize sponsors are not responsible for administration, technical operations, drawing procedures, or prize fulfillment unless expressly stated by the Sponsor.
13. Disqualification
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry or participant that violates these Official Rules or is suspected of fraud, tampering, misconduct, or interference with the Sweepstakes.
Entries generated through automated systems, bots, scripts, or other unauthorized means are not permitted.
The Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or other factors impair the integrity or proper operation of the Sweepstakes.
14. Privacy
Information collected from participants will be used for Sweepstakes administration, winner notification, prize fulfillment, and related communications.
Public race displays may show a participant’s first name and last initial, but full email addresses and phone numbers will not be publicly displayed.
15. Governing Law
This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
Any disputes related to the Sweepstakes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in Ohio.
16. Sponsor Interpretation
The Sponsor is responsible for interpreting these Official Rules, and all interpretations and decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding.
17. Technical Provider
EZVirtualRace.com and Giving Technology, LLC provide the technical platform, race page, entry system support, and virtual race production services.
EZVirtualRace.com and Giving Technology, LLC are not the Sponsor and are not responsible for prize fulfillment, legal compliance decisions, winner eligibility determinations, or Sponsor obligations.
