Saint John Energy Duck Race Raffle

Official Rules

An employee fundraising raffle where participants adopt ducks for a chance to win prizes while supporting the Saint John United Way.

1. Sponsor and Beneficiary

The Saint John Energy Duck Race Raffle is sponsored by Saint John Energy,
located at 325 Simms Street, Saint John, New Brunswick, E2M 3L6.

Net proceeds from this raffle benefit United Way Saint John, supporting programs
that help break the cycle of poverty and strengthen the community.

2. Eligibility

This raffle is open to eligible Saint John Energy employees only, subject to any
restrictions required by the raffle licence. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
Ticket sales are restricted to the Province of New Brunswick. Sales to individuals located
outside of New Brunswick are prohibited. Void where prohibited by law.

3. Ticket Sales Period

Ticket sales begin on April 27, 2026 and end on
May 7, 2026, unless modified as permitted under the raffle licence.

4. Ticket Prices

  • 1 ticket for $10
  • 5 tickets for $25
  • 15 tickets for $50

Payment is required to receive raffle entries. Accepted payment methods are
Interac e-Transfer or Cash. All ticket sales are final. No refunds.

5. Prizes

  • First Prize: $100 Cash
  • Second Prize: $50 Cash
  • Third Prize: Vito’s Pizza & Garlic Fingers Voucher

6. Draw Date, Time, and Location

The draw will take place on May 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM Atlantic Time at
325 Simms Street, Saint John, New Brunswick.

The official raffle video presenting the winners will be published at approximately
11:30 AM Atlantic Time on the same day.

7. Draw Method

Winners will be selected by a manual draw from printed, consecutively numbered raffle tickets
generated from all eligible paid entries in accordance with the raffle licence. Tickets will be
placed into a draw container, thoroughly mixed, and selected at random in the presence of at least one witness.

The results of the draw will be recorded prior to the publication of the raffle video.
The virtual duck race video is for entertainment purposes only and is used to present the official winners.
The video does not determine the raffle winners.

8. Odds of Winning

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible tickets sold.

9. Winner Notification and Announcement

Winners will be contacted by email and/or phone. Winners will also be announced via the official
raffle video at SJEDuckRace.com, which will be published at approximately
1:30 PM Atlantic Time on May 8, 2026.

Winners must claim their prize within 7 days. If a winner cannot be contacted,
an alternate winner may be selected.

10. General Conditions

Tickets are not transferable. Any attempt to tamper with the raffle may result in disqualification.
The sponsor reserves the right to modify or cancel the raffle if necessary.

11. Privacy

Information collected will be used for administration of the raffle and contacting winners.

12. Governing Law

This raffle is governed by the laws of New Brunswick.
